 Lakewood students enjoy a variety of activities throughout the school year, each designed to promote school community and character. Student activities include 4H, Rocket Club, Annual Club, speech meet, private music lessons, and end-of-year drama programs. Additionally, special events (such as the annual Fall Festival) are exciting milestones for the whole Lakewood community.
Fundraising
To maintain affordability, multiple fundraisers, such as the Fall Festival, are held throughout the year. Participation of each student and family is required for these important events.
Extended Care
The Extended Care program at Lakewood provides a safe environment for kids during the after-school hours. The hours of Extended Care are from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm on the days that LCA is in session. Care is not provided on holidays or others days of school closure.
During Extended Care, students are free to work on their homework. However, the LCA staff does not assume responsibility for requiring homework completion. Tutoring is not offered during this time as well. A light snack will be provided.
Payment for Extended Care is on a monthly basis, and is due upon receipt. Cost of Extended Care is $6 per day per child. A late fee of $1.00 per minute of tardiness will be assessed for tardy pickups. Payment is to be made to the school office. |
